Rian Ruiz - 26 years!

I am diverse,versatile,well-rounded,goal oriented and creative woman. I took up Business Administration major in Computer Applications at De LaSalle College of St.Benilde.During my college days I opened my small online shop selling pre-owned items and eventually I made my own accessories like flower brooches,layered necklaces, stylish headbands and other trendy accessories. It was my goal to use my skills in web development and my passion for fashion that brought me to become an entrepreneur at that time.I also became a blogger and get to contribute for www.stealthatlook.com (www.stealthatlook.multiply.com) regarding fab finds:a list of local online shops, during the start of multiply.com's site as a platform for fashion online market in the country. After college I went to New York for a vacation and it opened a wider interest for me about western culture. I went back to Manila to pursue my goal to serve others and so I enrolled to a Nursing course.Photo editing has been one of my interest also; editing friend's set cards,head shots and portfolios.I design invitations for my friend's parties and make creative photo gift tags during holiday's gift giving or during special events.I wanted to make other people feel special and surprising them with unique gifts made them appreciate the present more. I became a second courser while I part-time as a Barista for Starbucks Philippines. That experience widen my other network,friends and build my confidence in dealing with different people from different walks of life.I also get to work for a Fashion Show as a Stylist with a Carnival Theme which was organized by friends who are starting a Modeling Agency. I graduated and passed the Nursing board exams in 2009. From then on I worked as an Employee Health Clinic Nurse at St.Luke's Medical Center.I became part of their Employee and Labor relations department engaged in presenting Wellness Activities,Summer Outings,Sports Feast and other Company Events.That job experience gained me more awareness in wellness- participating on yoga classes and aerobic exercices.Now I jog/run, do boxing trainings, yoga, and maintain being fit.Presently I am a part-time wedding coordinator, online shop entrepreneur, and reviewing for upcoming exams for Nursing. I am always online and in constant lookout for trends/fashion report locally and internationally. I get to attend fashion shows during Philippine Fashion week and other Trunk Show Events in New York aswell. I have the desire to discover what life has to offer,having a positive outlook in life and in continuous search for more challenges and experiences where I can impart my knowledge,skills and passion to others.It has always been a dream for me to work for Summit Media and now that "The Mall.ph" via "stylebible.ph" has been a success, it made me more motivated being part of your team sharing my background in web development, my love for fashion, skills in customer service, my love for fashion, enthusiasm in styling and wide range of contacts from Fashion,Medical,Hotels,Business and Events Industry.Those are my personal qualities, experiences and journey that I hoped would qualify me for the Editorial Assistant position in your company.
