on saying bye bye to 2007:

its' been a while since my last entry.. almost a month of non existence of me..

so here are some updates about yours truly..

ok I know I have been struggling on designing my apt.. 

well now it's making it's own "crib statement" already..

the goal was to make it a zen-asian-colorful-lounge feel to it..

so to achieve this look here are the key piece for you to start on:

• paper lanterns - they are very cheap and lightweight. It also comes in different colors and sizes.. I made a chandelier effect on it since I have a high ceiling apt. I added color on my high white painted walls.It is quite a challenge for me to look for it here in Manila so I decided to ask my sister in NY to buy it for me there since japanese stores are just around the corner in NY streets. I got them for $1 - $2. I suggest you check Market2  since I saw some of these hanging on their home department.

• rugs - the first rug I got was the blue one which was on sale at play & display . It has defined my living area from the entry and kitchen area. and since I have no seating area.. it is where you can just lay down and enjoy the movie. The second was the larger printed rug I got at Urbanoutftters during a recent vacation. It's kinda heavy to bring home yet for only $20 it was worth it coz I haven't seen much printed rugs here in the country(nice pero yung mura lang ha!).. I have finally made use of the mezzanine area. Where a second bedroom/balcony seating has evolved.

• beddings (matching) - I have always dreamed of having a complete set of beddings (bed spread-bed sheets-pillow case - blanket- comforter). My mom got this for me it has a green and pink geometrical theme to it.I suggest that you take advantage of it while it's on sale.Better value for your money, right!
